The Dallas Day Surgery Center and The Cloister Hotel are both located on the 6th floor of The Pyramids in Dallas. The hotel can be utilized very efficiently for patients who desire or need to stay in the facility overnight.
Individualization of each patient's needs can be carried out with regard to anesthesia, as we have excellent nurse anesthetists as well as physician anesthesiologists who can perform anesthesia. This is oftentimes the patient's most significant concern. Understanding that priority, our nurse anesthetists achieve the highest standard of quality while achieving a cost sensitive approach to the anesthesia process. However, for patients who require or desire physician anesthesia, it is available.

In this article, Dallas Day Surgery Center's outstanding safety record with 5,316 cases is presented. This compares favorably with any report ever published. Our approach is consistent and remains unapologetically conservative. There are certain patients who desire to go home and can do so with minor procedures. For most procedures patients are usually more comfortable staying overnight in the hotel facility so that they may be checked periodically the day and night of surgery, as well as the following morning, and can go home rested, alert, and reassured. For many procedures the dressing change can be done the next morning prior to departure. The wound check and a fresh dressing again serve as an added safety measure and reassurance to the patient.
